The Cold War was between America and the Soviet Union over global struggle. The Soviet Union and the United States were allies in World War II but their differences caused distrust between them and eventually led to tension.The U.S. and Russia were two major world powers and they fought for dominance of world power. Their only motive to work together was to work against Hitler and his Nazi's. Disagreements led to threats over nuclear warfare, no fighting was involved. The Cold War ended in 1991 with the fall of the Soviet Union.
